Aspiring Leaders Program
Aspiring Leaders Program (ALP) supports the belief everyone can be a leader regardless of their position authority. This program helps individual contributors become more self-aware and build strong soft skills to lead through influence.
Participants of the Aspiring Leadership Program will engage in clarifying their strengths, developing their ability to manage self, and engage in the practice of leadership through a reflective and intentional pursuit.
The program does not address how to supervise or manage. Its focus, rather, is on a multi-faceted learning and understanding of who you are as an individual, how you influence others, and how you get results.
Program design
Aspiring Leaders Program uses a combination of online and in-person blended-learning based on a cohort model. With in-person classes being held on Wednesday afternoons and virtual sessions on Friday morning via Microsoft Teams. The program consists of 9 instructor led sessions, 6 in person sessions and 3 virtual sessions for a total of 23 hours.
Throughout Aspiring Leaders, participants will discover and analyze various leadership development strategies through group discussions, role-playing, projects, and other activities. Topics include:
- Leading relationships
- Leading with purpose
- Leading change
- Leading accountability
Upon graduation of the program, participants will have real-life leadership tools, key skills and hands-on approaches that can be put in to practice immediately.
