MavsSupervisor Success Program

(Formerly Titled Supervisor Essentials Program)

MavsSupervisor Success Program provides a training cohort for new leaders at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), with less than two years of supervisory experience. This program focuses on key topics for leaders who supervise at least one direct report.

This program equips new leaders with the tools, knowledge, and connections to accelerate the transition into a supervisory role. Eligible full-time employees will benefit from the cohort structure that fosters participation, collaboration, creativity, leadership skills, and a sense of community.

Program Design

MavsSupervisor Success Program features a blend of online and in-person sessions with guest speakers, including nationally recognized branded training programs like CliftonStrengths™ and Situational Leadership™. Each cohort accommodates 25 participants.

All participants will be paired with a peer Praxis Partner to debrief sessions, practice skills, and maximize their growth potential. They will also engage in pre-work and utilize their peer Praxis Partner for post-session debriefs to enhance learning. Graduates will be equipped to improve meetings, team collaboration, employee engagement, and navigate UTA's contacts and processes for their teams.
