US State Department World Wide Caution

Given the recent worldwide caution issued by the U.S. State Department in response to the conflicts in Israel and elsewhere around the world, we are writing to provide information. As a UTA business traveler, you have a network of resources available to support and assist you. Please continue to remain in communication with your department and local resources and follow their guidance regarding health and safety updates. If you need any security advice or referrals for medical or counseling support, please do not hesitate to take advantage of the On Call International resources at your disposal. You can call On Call anytime 24/7 using the dedicated hotline 1-978-651-9722, and links to additional On Call and UTA resources are included at the bottom of this message.

The University continually monitors worldwide events through the U.S. Department of State, the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), On Call, the Center for Disease Control, and more. In conjunction with University and UT System administrators, we can respond quickly and appropriately to assist travelers as needed.

Safety measures

While you are abroad, you should continue to follow standard travel precautions, such as avoiding protests, rallies, and demonstrations, and take additional precautionary measures to avoid flashpoint areas such as government buildings and religious sites in the near term. Furthermore, be advised that the UT System has suspended travel to Ukraine, Russia, Belarus Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. You should not attempt to travel to these areas for any reason. In addition, travel to Jordan, Lebanon, Moldova, and Georgia should be avoided.

Our goal is to provide you with the support and resources you need to complete your programs successfully, and if there is anything our office can do to assist you, please let us know.
