How do I enroll in Retirement Benefits?

TRS Enrollment

All eligible employees of UTA are automatically enrolled in TRS on their first day of employment unless they are eligible for and elect to enroll in ORP.

ORP Enrollment

To enroll in ORP, follow these steps:

  • Choose your provider(s) from the currently authorized provider list. You may select more than one provider for your ORP participation.
  • Go to www.myretirementmanager.com. Log onto UTRetirement Manager and click on the ORP Enroll/Change page and follow the prompts. If you have never used UTRM you will need to establish a new Security Profile first.
  • Complete the appropriate provider application(s) to open an account(s) with that company and mail the application(s) directly to the provider.
  • Before your first ORP deduction, mail all completed provider applications to the designated address on those applications.
  • Complete and mail, the following forms to UTA Benefits Services

ORP Acknowledgement

TRS Form 28 (Notice to Elect to Participate in Optional Retirement Program and/or Refund)

UTSaver TSA 403(b) Enrollment

  • Contact Benefits Services and request a calculation of your contribution limit.
  • Review and select a provider(s) from the list of authorized providers. You may select more than one provider for your UTSaver TSA participation.
  • Log onto UTRetirement Manager and click on the TSA Enroll/Change page.
  • Complete an account application(s) with the provider(s) you have selected.

UTSaver DCP 457(b) Enrollment

  • Review and select a provider(s) from the list of authorized providers. You may select more than one provider for your UTSaver DCP participation.
  • Log onto UTRetirement Manager and click on the DCP Enroll/Change page.
  • Complete an account application(s) with the provider(s) you have selected.
  • If you are utilizing the special catch-up provision, contact your Benefits Services and request a calculation of your contribution limit.
  • Complete the Special Catch-Up Provision Agreement (if utilizing this option) and return it to Benefits Services.
