MAVERICK SPIRIT FUN RUN!

Join TCI Wellness and your fellow Mavericks on Monday May 22, 2023, for our 2023 Blazing Race at Brazos Park!

Get your Maverick Spirit on during this fun run for a chance at some prizes! There will be fun and engaging activities onsite for employees to de-stress and get active. The Blazing Race is a rain or shine event, so get ready to get fit no matter the Texas weather.

Registration

Fill out the Blazing Race Registration Form with your team of two to six people.

• First 125 to register will receive a Blazing Race T-shirt
• Registration opens May 8^th
• Register by May 18^th to secure spot/ meal passes.

Team Captains

Teams Captains who register by 5:00 PM on May 18^th  can pick up their T-shirts early from TCE Wellness Office in Suite 101 Wetsel Service Building (1225 W. Mitchell Street, Arlington, TX 76019) on May 19^th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

• Please e-mail wellness@uta.edu to let them know you wish to pick-up your packets early, so we can be prepared with your shirt.

Race Instructions

• CHECK IN & PACKET PICKUP - Racers arrive at 9:00 - 9:45 AM
• Energizing warm-up at 10:00 AM
• The race officially kicks-off at 10:30 AM

The Blazing Race features two routes, Low Impact (1 mile) and High Impact (2 miles). Teams will begin the race with clues that lead them to destinations across campus. If your team plans to run or power-walk, please sign up for the High Impact Course.

• All racers must complete a Release and Indemnification Form in order to participate. Download and email form to wellness@uta.edu

Your team is invited to participate in the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) Summer Slimdown! You can register for the SAC Slimdown during Blazing Race registration. SAC will have a Tent at Blazing Race for Registration.
