Tobacco Cessation Resources
The University of Texas at Arlington is a tobacco-free campus. In addition, Texas law makes it illegal for anyone under 21 to use or possess tobacco and nicotine products—with the exception of military members. The law makes it a class C misdemeanor to possess, purchase consume or receive cigarettes, e-cigarettes or tobacco products.
In order to provide everyone with a healthy, welcoming learning environment, the University prohibits the use of all tobacco products—including e-cigarettes, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, smokeless tobacco—on campus property at all times. This includes all outdoor property of UTA and its affiliated campuses. Violators will be subject to the disciplinary action detailed in the Tobacco Free Campus Policy.
