This course will help pinpoint how to delegate the right task, choose the right person for the task, and develop a plan and process for delegating effectively.

Objectives: Participants will discuss the elements of delegation and construct a delegation plan to empower others.

The power to influence doesn't always come from a leader's job title. Any leader can have influence. How do you lead across the University with your peers? Participants will explore the power of influence and how to leverage it especially when you are not in charge.

Objectives: Participants will examine influence and persuasion and identify ways to leverage influence as a leadership skill.

A foundational leadership course that uses the Core Values as the lens to demonstrate leadership behaviors that are essential to our culture at UT Arlington. This course is a prerequisite to participate in one of the HR Leadership and Management cohort programs

Objective: Participants will examine specific leadership behaviors that are critical to the success of a UTA leader.

This session will address these common questions and introduce you to an alternative perspective.  We will examine the traditional model of giving feedback and explore a strengths-based approach that uses positive behaviors and captures moments of excellence.

Objectives:  Participants will examine an alternative way to give feedback that focuses on strengths and positive behaviors, and learn the techniques associated with using a strengths-based perspective to deliver feedback.​

Managers, colleagues, and friends can all help to provide support, insight, and learning. Learn how to deliver feedback that enhances professional growth, promotes expression of appreciation, and offers valuable information.
