Export Control-TRAINING
Export control regulations require that personnel working with export-controlled items/material, technology, and/or information are qualified through appropriate training involving the proper procedures and requirements to ensure compliance with all relevant export controls.
Research projects involving potentially export-controlled items/material, technology, and/or information are to be reviewed by the Office of Regulatory Services (ORS) to determine whether a , or other requirements for the conduct of the research will be necessary to prevent an unauthorized release of the technology from occurring. See “Resolving Export Control Concerns” within UTA’s Export Management and Compliance Manual for more information on TCPs and RSPs.
Required Training
Individuals involved in a project requiring a TCP must complete the following training prior to engaging in the project:
- Export Control – select the link, login to Mentis, select "Available Training" on the left side of the page, and complete the "Export Control" module.
This training is designed to provide project personnel a basic understanding of export control requirements and concerns. Individuals should read through the material thoroughly, taking care not to skip any slides. Start and end times are recorded and will be printed on your completion certificate.
