HSP Training

For research involving human subjects, you will need to complete UTA's Human Subjects Protection (HSP) Training module. Completion certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of completion.

  1. Login at https://mentis.uta.edu/public/#trn using your UTA NetID and password
  2. Locate the 'Human Subjects Protection (HSP)' training which can either be found under 'Completed Training' or 'Available Training'.
  3. Click on the 'Start' or 'Resume button' to begin the training for the first time.
  4. If you are renewing your HSP Training, be sure to click 'Retake Training' from the 'Completed Training' menu to ensure your completion is updated in the system.

You will be able to save your progress at any point during the training to resume again later by repeating steps 1-3. Any questions should be directed to Regulatory Services at 817-272-3723 or regulatoryservices@uta.edu.
