Understanding Service Credit
Employees earn different types of credit for their service when they work for The University of Texas at Arlington and the State of Texas. They also earn service credit when they participate in the Teacher Retirement System or Optional Retirement Program. See the Service Comparison Table below to better understand how these different types of credit are calculated and learn about who is eligible for state service credit, service awards, and retirement service credit.
