We are committed to supplementing students’ academic excellence with experiential opportunities that develop workforce skills and competencies.

 

Dallas Area Rapid Transport (DART): UTA has partnered with the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to create an opportunity for you to be included in a year-long DART/UTA Transportation Leadership Academy. This Academy will provide you the chance to: Participate in a paid internship; achieve real work experience, especially as it pertains to the transportation industry, by working on a DART project; develop leadership skills by interacting with DART executives; and, the potential to be interviewed for employment at DART at the conclusion of the Leadership Academy.

College Work Experience Program (CWEP) with Lockheed Martin

The UTA Lockheed Martin College Work Experience Program (CWEP) is an ideal opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to gain real-world work experience relevant to their academic and career goals while maintaining full-time enrollment with the University of Texas at Arlington. The program provides students with a year-round paid opportunity to explore a unique training experience on the cutting edge of technology.

Economic Development through Guidance Education (EDGE) Internship Program

The Career Development Center’s Economic Development through Guidance Education Program (EDGE) is a dedicated internship initiative with the goal of developing experiential learning opportunities for students.
